Stevens & Brand, LLP

Centennial Brand Identity, Print, Environmental, Digital & Event Design

YellowBug Creative • 2024-2025
Project Overview
Stevens & Brand, LLP needed a comprehensive campaign to mark their centennial year, celebrating 100 years of legal service across their Topeka and Lawrence offices. The goal was one cohesive anniversary identity that could stretch across an entire year of touchpoints, events, and audiences, from longtime clients to the broader Kansas legal community. The campaign encompassed a full anniversary brand and stationery system, website update, an employee pet calendar, branded merchandise, event promotion and print materials across multiple events throughout the year, and the centerpiece: a large-scale, multi-panel museum exhibit tracing the firm's century of history, installed first at the Watkins Museum for their Centennial Celebration and then permanently in their Lawrence office.
My Contributions
The anniversary brand was built on Stevens & Brand's existing identity, elevated with a sophisticated navy and gold palette and a custom 100-year mark that complemented their established logo without overriding it. The museum exhibit was the most complex deliverable, requiring research into exhibit design and fabrication, close collaboration with museum staff to gather historical content and determine materials and printing specifications, and heavy coordination with the printer on the technical requirements of producing and installing a piece at that scale. I  fully managed the pet calendar, handling employee coordination, photo shoots at both office locations, photo editing, design, and print. Throughout the full year I worked directly with attorneys, museum curators, vendors, and printers, managing a high volume of concurrent deliverables and client relationships from start to finish.
Results
The centennial celebration at the Watkins Museum drew the largest crowd the museum had hosted. The exhibit, the materials, and the overall campaign received strong recognition from the firm and attendees. The history of the firm, much of it previously undocumented, now lives permanently in their Lawrence office. Stevens & Brand continues working with YellowBug in the following year, returning for ongoing events, campaigns, and materials, which speaks to the rapport and trust built throughout the project.
